Olympic Movement means to include everybody and everything involved in the Summer Games, national sport governing bodies, athletes, media, and sponsors of the Summer Games. The Summer Games involve a number of organizations, the three major organizations are International Sports Federations (IFs), the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs) and all other recognised federations, institutions and organisations. All these organizations are collectively known as the Olympic Movement.

The Olympic Movement is made of three major organizations given above. The National Olympic Committees (NOCs) is the one of them and is playing important role in the Olympic Movement.
National Olympic Committees (NOCs)
National Olympic Committees (NOCs) mission is to develop, promote and protect the Olympic Movement in their respective countries. The National Olympic Committees promote the fundamental principles of Olympism at a national level within the framework of sports. National Olympic Committees are committed to the development of athletes and support the development of sport for all programmes and high performance sport in their countries. The National Olympic Committees (NOCs) also participate in the training of sports administrators by organising educational programmes.
The tasks assigned to National Olympic Committees (NOCs) are clearly stipulated under of the Olympic Charter. The National Olympic Committees (NOCs) are responsible for sending participants to the Games and endorsing potential future Olympic host cities within their countries. The NOCs form five continental associations, which are represented within the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).
